The redevelopment of the Khandallah Village by Wellington City Council in September 2009 included the use of Citygreen Root Cells.
Trees were planted in paved footpaths close to a carriageway. Citygreen Root Cells were able to provide root management and protection for the trees, services and paving while also providing structural loading for the paved pedestrian area above and the carriageway nearby.
