The Federal Street project was the continuence of Auckland Council's 'Shared Space' program. Federal Street runs through the heart of the Skycity complex in Auckland's CBD and was completed during 2014. The contrast of this street before and after is stunning, and Citygreen's Stratacell 60 Series was utilized extensively at either end of the street.
When we visited this street in late July 2015 it was noticeably different to years gone by - the surroundings are quieter and more peaceful through the cutting back of vehicle activity and the enabling of easier pedestrian access. The presence of trees has given this essential area of Auckland's CBD a more vibrant and healthy, living atmosphere.
