Yale 8mm Bee Line is a high heat resistance prussic cord – due to its Vectran core and a 75% / 25 % Technora / Poyester cover braid. Bee Line has one of the highest heat resistant covers available. Bee-Line is the first rope designed to wick the heat of friction away from a knot. The “Power of Aramid” is brought to bear in this rope structure. Teijin’s Technora® Aramid fibre has heat resistance through 800 degrees Fahrenheit and excellent cut resistance. In use, kinetic energy caused by rappelling on the knot or friction hitch, is converted into thermal energy. If left with no place to go it can melt your rope. In introducing Aramid fibre into the rope a higher level of heat can be tolerated without damage to either the cord or climbing line. Works well with the 11mm and 11.7mm climbers’ lines. Yale Ropes has a world-wide reputation for quality and Bee Line is a classic example of Yale's high standards.
