Yale's 10mm Bee-Line still offers the same heat resistance needed for friction hitches as the Bee-Line 8mm, yet in a larger diameter. Concists of a Vectran core and a 50% / 50% Technora / Poyester cover braid. The 10mm Bee-Line works well with both 11.7mm and ½” in a variety of knot configurations.Bee-Line is the first rope designed to wick the heat of friction away from a knot. The “Power of Aramid” is brought to bear in this rope structure. Teijin’s Technora® Aramid fibre has heat resistance through 800 degrees Fahrenheit and excellent cut resistance. In use, kinetic energy caused by rappelling on the knot or friction hitch, is converted into thermal energy. If left with no place to go it can melt your rope. In introducing Aramid fibre into the rope a higher level of heat can be tolerated without damage to either the cord or climbing line. Yale Ropes has a world-wide reputation for quality and Bee Line is a classic example of Yale's high standards.
